1.Introduction: If students are unable to attend class for any reason, they should follow the Regulations for Student Leave of Absence and request leave from the course instructor to avoid affecting their grades due to absenteeism. For related Q&A, please click this link.
Note: Students can select specific class periods when requesting leave. Leave is only necessary if there are scheduled classes; no leave is required if there are no classes.
2.Leave Application Methods: There are two types of leave application methods: "Regular Leave" and "Midterm and Final Exam Leave"
(1)Regular Leave: For leave applications during regular periods when midterm and final exams are not being held, please refer to the table below for the appropriate times to submit your application through the Student Leave System.

Notes:
1.Leave is taken on a daily basis. Regardless of how many class periods are selected on the same day, it is considered as one day.
2.The number of leave days refers to the total number of days selected in a single leave application.
(2)Midterm and Final Exam Leave: For leave on the days of midterm and final exams (excluding quizzes), due to official affairs, acute illness, childbirth, bereavement of close relatives, unforeseen force majeure, or factors not attributable to the applicants, relevant certificates are required and approved by the course instructor before submitting the application through the Student Leave System.
3.Emergency Leave Handling: In cases of severe illness, or unforeseen contingencies, leave may be reported to the course instructor by phone, email, or through an entrusted person. Students may complete the application within 7 days (including holidays) from the last day of absence with certificates and select "Apply before today" in the Student Leave System, overdue applications will not be accepted.
