Starlight Not Enough? The Safe Corridor Has Your Back!

To enhance nighttime campus safety, please refer to the following reminders regarding “Safety Corridors” and “Low-Lighting Zones (Quiet Nighttime Areas)” on both the Main Campus and Nanda Campus.

1. Main Campus

【Safety Corridors】

  • These are the primary pedestrian and vehicle routes connecting academic buildings and dormitories.

  • At night, we recommend parking near buildings with access control or beside designated safety corridors.

  • Please avoid isolated shortcuts and walk in groups whenever possible.

⚠️ 【Low-Lighting Zones】
Avoid lingering alone in the following areas at night. If necessary, go with others and choose safety corridors:

  • Development Zones: Areas such as Research & Education Zones 6 and 7, which lack lighting.

  • Athletic Areas: Limited lighting outside teaching hours or team practices.

  • Ecological Zones: Locations like Chenggong Lake, Mei Garden, and behind the Humanities & Social Sciences building with low visibility.

  • Remote Parking Lots: Low traffic at night—avoid shortcuts and use well-lit routes.

  • Quiet Dormitory Areas: Areas like Scholar Dorms and East Yard Dorms—remain alert.

2. Nanda Campus

【Safety Corridors】

  • Primarily composed of main roads connecting dormitories and campus buildings.

  • Motorcycles should be parked in designated shelters near the main gate or Extension Building.

  • Please stick to safety corridors at night and travel with companions.

⚠️ 【Low-Lighting Zones】

  • Quiet Teaching Buildings: Sparse pedestrian flow due to recent relocations—avoid walking alone.

  • Sports Areas: Open to the public and frequented by non-campus individuals—remain alert.

  • Ecological Areas: Lawns and green zones between buildings—walk in groups.

  • Rear Quiet Spots: Such as recycling zones or remote parking—stay vigilant.

📣 Reminder to all students and staff: Please avoid quiet, dimly lit areas at night. Walk in groups and stick to well-lit safety corridors. If you notice anything suspicious, report it immediately to the campus security team.
